Jocelyne Fromond was born and raised in Reims, France – located about 80 miles Northeast of Paris. She discovered the Arts at the University of Roosevelt in France, where she acquired a love for oil painting. In 1984, Jocelyne and her family immigrated to the United States where they took ownership and management of a Pecan Farm and Chocolate Factory in Fort-Valley, Georgia. During this time, her love for painting took a backseat to the demands of her newly-acquired businesses. It was within the last 10 years that Jocelyne discovered the technique of "One Stroke", developed by Donna Dewberry. After many classes, Jocelyne obtained her teaching certificate. She was later encouraged to continue mastering the technique and obtained her second certification. She has since taught this technique to many, teaching classes at Michael’s, churches, select stores and in people’s homes for private parties. Jocelyne’s "One Stroke" specialty and passion is acrylic paints, which has opened the door to painting on many different surfaces, including glass (which has become one of her favorites!). Jocelyne is best known for her work with windows – which presents a unique opportunity to recycle! It is through window painting that Jocelyne best captures the beauty and secrets of Mother Nature. While there is no doubt that painting is one of Jocelyne’s biggest passions, it is only eclipsed by the love and devotion she has for her children and four grandchildren.
